I REMEMBER OUR NUMEROUS CAMPING TRIPS WITH THE GIUNTAS GREENS AND ARENAS. I MISS THOSE DAYS. I’VE KNOW MICHAEL SINCE KINDERGARTEN AND THAT GREAT SMILE HE HAD. YOU WILL BE MISSED MICHAEL. I AM STILL IN SHOCK THIS HAPPENED. OUR FAMILY REMEMBERS THE DAY WE CAMPED AND IT ONLY RAINED ON TOM’S SIDE OF THE STREET AND NOT ON OUR SIDE. TOM CAME OUT AND SAID OF COURSE IT HAD TO RAIN OVER US AGAIN!!!! YOU WILL ME MISSED BY MANY !!!!!

when I was very young, my family and I were visiting and in the back seat of Kathy’s car, Michael and Ryan were arguing over who got to sit by me Ryan saying, that isn’t fair mike you got to sit by him twice! Which makes me laugh now and I remember feeling special that they liked me that much. I also remember riding ATV’S and playing badminton and how much I looked up to Mike and that he didn’t treat me like the annoying younger kid that always wanted his attention

Dearest Kathy,

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of your dear son. Losing a child is the hardest thing for parents to face. I am praying for you and your family as you endure this difficult passage of your lives.

I regret that I will not be able to attend the memorial service this Friday, April 5, because my husband and I will be out of town.

You have my love and sympathy,

Marge Sakamoto (former RIT colleague and fellow retiree)

I have always said that Mike was my favorite friend of my husbands. He was so genuine, sweet, loving, and just a wonderful person. I believe that is because he comes from a wonderful family. Although I did not know them very well, I knew them enough to feel comfortable talking to Mr. and Mrs. Giunta every time I saw them. I felt like I have known them forever. Mike would always call us when he was in town and he would come to the house and visit. Every time I would see Mike, he would greet me with a big hug at the door. I am so glad that he was able to be part of our wedding and part of our lives. Mike and Scott were great friends growing up and he meant a lot to my husband. I am so sorry for everyone’s loss. Mike was amazing. A wonderful person and will be very much missed. I am so glad that we were able to see him when he visited this past Christmas. I send my love to his family and his friends.

Kathy, It broke my heart to read your post. I remember when Michael was born and some of the intimate conversation we had about you staying home to be a Mom. You have always been one of my very favorite people and I often think about how close we used to be.
Kathy, my heart is truly broken for your loss and I hope it helps to know that you are in my heart and in my prayers.
Love

We will never forget the wonderful memories of Michael visiting the farm in Gasport.
The education he gave about vacuum cleaners in his younger years was priceless.
He was such an inspiration to all.
Michael, you will be sadly missed and always remain in our hearts.
We love you …..
